Courses & Training Programmes

SKB International has extensive experience in organising various types of events aimed at transferring SKB’s knowledge and expertise to other organisations. From seminars and workshops on specific topics to the first School of Geological Disposal courses held in 2018 and 2019, we offer comprehensive educational opportunities, including secondments.

Step by step, SKB International is setting up a catalogue of courses to support competence and capacity building in the best possible way. The courses cover various areas and are designed for different target groups, delivered by lecturers with extensive experience in the Swedish programme.

Courses are offered as online sessions for groups, on-demand courses for individuals, or as on-site courses at SKB International’s facilities or at the client’s offices.

Online courses

SKB International, in collaboration with the Nuclear Training and Safety Centre,KSU, in Sweden, has developed a unique web-based portal for its courses. (KSU provides different types of training for operational and maintenance personnel at Swedish nuclear power plants).

Online courses are an exceptionally efficient and cost-effective way to transfer knowledge, knowhow and avoiding unnecessary costs and time spent on travel and accommodation. These courses are scheduled events that individuals or groups can sign up for.

Our courses include following:

• Live opening and closing webinars, as well as Q&A webinars with presenters from SKB International and SKB.
• Pre-recorded course material available 24/7 throughout the course duration, so participants can access it at their convenience.
• The ability for participants to ask questions and receive answers from SKB’s experts via the course portal or at the Q&A webinars.
• Opportunities to interact with other participants through the course portal forums.

On-Demand Courses

Some courses are also available on-demand. Individuals or small groups can sign up and gain access to the material via the course portal within two business days.

• Pre-recorded course material available 24/7 throughout the course duration, so participants can access it at their convenience.
• The ability for participants to ask questions and receive answers from SKB’s experts via the course portal.
• No live webinars are included

On-site Courses

Our courses can also be delivered on-site, either at our facilities or at the client’s offices. On-site courses provide face-to-face interaction with lecturers, creating a more personal and engaging learning environment. We can also tailor courses to meet your specific needs and requests.
